ABOUT KEIKO FUKUZAKI

Keiko's swimwear career began in November 1979 when photographer Phillip Dixon asked her to make swimsuits for the cover of "Oui" Magazine. This inspired her to manufacture a swimwear collection. Her collection was sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor and other major specialty stores and catalogs. In 1995, Keiko opened her first retail store in SoHo.

When women came shopping for suits they often found it difficult to fit general sizes and were looking for something more true to their own body. After witnessing the difficulty that many women experience swimsuit shopping, Keiko decided to create a custom line. Today, she sells not only off the rack but also offers the choice to create your own custom suit, which is made to measure. Keiko New York carries a wide variety of styles ranging from teeny bikinis to maillots with maximum support, as well as a men's collection.

Keiko feels rewarded seeing her customers pleased with how they look in her suits and not have to worry about the way it fits. After all, worrying is the last thing you should be doing on vacation!
